Self Reflection
WEEK 1 - 3
We are briefed with the instructions and the assignments that we need to complete for our KoQ activity. We were told to complete a few tasks including posters, presentaion, aerodance, etc. Our Koq Lecturer, Sir Mazlan asked us to create ourselves a group for the upcoming aerodance activity. So, we created our own group.My group consisted of 8 students. We named our group the ‘Bingchilling Squad’ During the second week, Sir Mazlan ordered us to hold our own meeting among our group members to discuss about the songs and dance moves that we wanted to use in our aerodance final video. In the meantime, he also asked us to complete the poster and other KoQ tasks whenever we are free. On the third week, Sir Mazlan still held online KoQ session. We were ordered to held aerodance practice session on our own and record it then, send the recording to Sir Mazlan as attendance. These first 3 weeks was a relaxing week I would say because during this period, there were not much of assignments that were given by the other lecturers. Thus, during this first 3 weeks, my friends and I use it to focus on completing the poster. What I had learned and gained from this first 3 weeks is I am able to make the bond between me and my friends whom I’m not that close stronger.
WEEK 4 - 6
In week 4, Sir Mazlan held the first face to face aerodance practice session. We were asked to gather at the hall. We were there on time although some of my friends did’t. We talked with Sir Mazlan about our progress on our aerodance dance movement and also about the other assignments. He ordered us to take a suitable spot for each team and start our training there. He also asked every group to show their dance progressions in-front of him before he allowed us to dismiss. My group decided to practice at the right-back-corner of the hall. We practice about an hour and when the clock hits 4 o’clock we decided that we are ready to perform our aerodance that on that time were still incomplete in-front of Sir Mazlan. We performed the dance and although that our dance movement were not synchronised, we managed to complete the dance. After the dance, Sir Mazlan commented on our dance and he gave some of his brilliant ideas about some improvements that we can make to improve our dance. On week 5, we were asked to gather at the hall again and the past week’s activities and flows were repeated. But this time we are more prepared and our dance moves were more synchronised. We added some new dance moves and made some adjustments on our dance moves as well. Move on to the next week, which was week 6, we were ordered to gather at the hall yet again. We were pretty much followed the same orders and flows from the previous week. After these three weeks, I learned that it is quite fun to dance with our friends. Additionally it is a fun exercise to do.
WEEK 7 - 9
Another weeks came around, week 7, the beginning of busyness since there were a plentiful of assignments that the lecturers released. During this week, we started to record and complete our presentation video. The topic that I chose is weight training. So at the beginning of the week, I did some research on the internet about the basic and fundamental principles of weightlifting. In addition, I also learned the dos and don’ts of weightlifting. With the information that I had mustered, I started to work on my slide presentation. With 3 hours of hardwork and focus, I completed it and then upload it on my blog afterwards. On week 8, the face to face session continued. We trained on the same venue and on the same spot. The session started at around 3:15 p.m and we wrapped up our training at 4:15 p.m. Although that we are tired from our learning during classes, we still tried to gave our best. On week 9 we were asked finalize our dance in order to submit it. My friends and I did a few practice session on our own in order to improve our dance performance. During these 3 weeks, I learned a lot of things, way more things and informations than I learned from the previous weeks. For instance, I learn about weightlifting, health and many other beneficial informations.
WEEK 10 - 12
Weeks after weeks past by, and here the last quarter of the semester finally arrived. We had to finalize our blog post. In the meantime we also must submit our final aerodance video and post in on out blog. So my friends and I did our final dance and at the same time, record it. My friend edit video and sent it back to us. One of my friend post it on youtube and we pit the link on our blog. Despite the busyness that causes by the other abundance of assignments, we still managed to complete all of our KoQ tasks. It was exhausting but at the same time it is indeed fun. I got a chance to spend more quality time with my friends and got to know more about them. Plus, I also learned a lot of new informations from the programme. I also learned that dancing is a healthy and beneficial activity to do. In addition, dancing give the freedom to move. When I was doing this activity I got a chance to have fun with my friends. I never was a fan of dancing, but I realised that when I did it with my friends or whom I close to, it is undeniably joyful. For this reason, I want to thanks Sir Mazlan for all of the guidance that he had gave to us. Also, I want to thank him for being patient with all of our misbehave and our unpunctuality. Sorry for all of the inconvinience that we had caused.
